Bourne is a small market town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Fens.

A coaching stop on the London to York route, we have many buildings which have coaching connections.

More recent history highlights our town as the centre of the British Racing Motors (BRM) and English Racing Automobiles (ERM) teams. Cars were designed and built in the town.

We would like to add to the amenities in the town by  returning places of interest to functional uses.

Formerly associated to Bourne Preservation Society, we are now associated to Bourne Civic Society, following the merging of Bourne Preservation Society and Bourne Civic Society mid 2016.  We continue with our current project as usual, and

you can find more about that elsewhere on this website.

We are now based at Baldock’s Mill Heritage Centre, in South Street,

close to the Market Place, and if you have never visited the Mill,

please come and see us soon, it will not disappoint.

Heritage Trust Network was launched on the 31st August 2016 to replace the Association of Preservation Trusts.

We are pleased to be a full member of the new organisation.

Bourne Town Hall has a bright new future

At the end of September 2016 a plan for the future of the town hall building was presented to the public, this was following three years of discussions with the current keeper of the building , Lincolnshire County Council.

The proposal is to make this iconic building in the Market Place into an Arts Centre. The building will house a theatre and cinema as well as re-configurable space upstairs and downstairs for events of all types as well as a craft market on market days, the centre will be called The Sessions House, in line with its original use, making the building the focal point of the town once again.

Having played a large part in ensuring the future of the building, we would like to thank Lincolnshire County Council for their positivity and support in securing the future of the building.
